Lauren Grabelle, an editorial and fine-art photographer, specializes in high-quality documentary coverage of weddings and all other celebratory events.
Without relying on ubiquitous photographic fads, such as tilted camera angles or shooting subjects from behind, Lauren focuses on you and records for posterity the emotions that are felt and the people that share them. Stepping into moments with her subjects and then quietly out, she creates images that are both visually and emotionally rich, documenting how things feel, not just how they look.
A graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Anthropology, Lauren has studied photography’s technical and theoretical aspects under the tutelage of some of today’s great documentary and fine art photographers at Parsons School of Design, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, the International Center of Photography, and the Eddie Adams Workshops. After college and an internship with National Geographic, she continued focusing on a documentary/fine-art perspective in her work.
An award winning photographer, Lauren’s photographs have appeared numerous times in all the major wedding magazines as well as in The New York Times, Newsweek, and New Science; numerous book covers through her stock agency in London; and have been selected by jury for publication in the renowned American Photography 10 and 17.
Providing complete coverage of your event, including portraiture, her intimate, in-depth approach as a visual storyteller will leave you with priceless, timeless artifacts of your event.
