Dramatic, unconventional spaces. An elegant, sophisticated atmosphere. And the inspirational backdrop of dreams taking flight. Whether your special day will involve an intimate group of 20 or a grand affair for thousands, the sky is no limit at The Museum of Flight.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Here at The Museum of Flight, we understand that planning a wedding is quite an exciting process. Our staff is experienced in planning special events and is eager to assist you in any way to ensure that your wedding is a memorable and festive occasion.

The Museum of Flight offers a unique space for your wedding or reception. The Great Gallery, provides an exclusive evening in one of Seattle's most spectacular settings. Dramatically lit at night, the Gallery is a stunning architectural achievement. The six-story tall glass and steel structure gracefully suspends more than 20 full-size aircraft from its ultra-modern frame. Dine among some of the world's most significant airplanes, including a replica of the first Boeing aircraft (the 1916 B&W), a World War II Corsair, and the famous Blackbird spyplane.

The Side Gallery is adjacent to the Great Gallery. Guests can visit our Apollo space exhibit and the Tower, a full-scale replica of an air traffic control tower overlooking the active runways of Boeing Field. A reception or dinner with dancing allows your guests the opportunity to stroll among the exhibits of the Great Gallery as long as food and beverage remain in the Side Gallery area. Please be aware that event guests from other spaces may also have access to the Great Gallery until 6:00 p.m. The Side Gallery can accommodate a buffet for 300 people and a seated dinner for up to 400.

The Red Barn, with its warm wood tones and historic exhibits, reflects the romantic early days of aviation. Opened as our original museum facility in 1983, the centerpiece of this area is a beautiful 1917 Curtiss Jenny biplane with its fabric covering removed to showcase the exquisite woodwork underneath. This gallery also features the world's first fighter, a 1914 Caproni Ca 20. The Red Barn is an ideal space for rehearsal dinners or small receptions. Please note that the Red Barn does not allow for amplified music or dancing.

The Skyline Room, with its burgundy carpeting and light wood trim, provides an elegant, contemporary atmosphere for any function. This room includes an exterior balcony, private elevator, and views of Boeing Field and the Seattle skyline. The Skyline Room can accommodate a sit down dinner for 160 or a buffet for 140.

Adjacent to the Skyline Room, the fully equipped Barnstormer Lounge, with its balcony view of Boeing Field, provides the perfect area for a bridal room. With leather couches and a built in bar, this room is also often used as a gathering place for the wedding party before the big event.

With the rental of any event space, special-event guests have access to tour the Great Gallery from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Museum of Flight is proud to feature Catering by McCormick and Schmick's as our exclusive caterer.
