About Us

The facilities house the Cornell Museum of Art and History, Crest Theatre, a vintage Gymnasium and restored classrooms. All three buildings as well as the grounds are available for rental, year-round, for reception space.

A new outdoor Entertainment Pavilion is fully equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting. It hosts a variety of community events and provides concert, film and special event opportunities.

Located in charming downtown Delray Beach, Old School Square is just one mile from the ocean and walking distance to specialty shopping, fine dining, luxury and historic hotel accommodations. Delray Beach is convenient to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach International Airports.

1926 Gymnasium~ This 40'x70' room accommodates up to 250 at tables or 400 theatre-style and is ideal for wedding receptions, corporate parties, group meetings, dances or special events. The room has a 12'x28' stage to the left of the scene shown, a balcony for additional seating or displays, and a food preparation/load-in area. We can also assist in finding caterers, decorators, entertainment or other event requirements.

Crest Theatre~ This 323 seat venue is used for a wide variety of Old School Square programs and presentations. It is available as a rental facility and has been used for meetings, dramatic and musical productions, dance recitals, corporate seminars, television production and other presentations. The Crest is equipped with computerized lighting and sound, dressing rooms and box office facilities. The Crest Theatre is designated as a National Historic Performing Theatre.

Angelique Tea Room~ Located on the first floor of the Cornell Museum of Art and History, this room/gallery is the perfect setting for small parties, receptions or meetings of up to 40 people. A galley kitchen runs along the west wall to facilitate refreshment service, cocktail receptions or artist demonstrations.

Grounds~ A variety of outdoor events occur year-round on Old School Square's four acre site. The grounds have been used for festivals, family reunions, photo shoots, tented corporate events and fundraisers and concerts.

Classrooms~ Nine restored classrooms are available in the Crest Theatre building. Pictured is the Ocean Breeze Room, the largest, which can accommodate up to 60 at tables or 100 theatre-style. The Ocean Breeze is equipped with projection screen, video projector (for TV or computer signals), sound system, a full kitchen and a rolling bar for entertaining. Two other classrooms also have projection screens. Other classrooms include an adjoining library and music room and two art studios. All rooms are well suited to workshops, seminars and business meetings and receptions.

Entertainment Pavilion~ Featuring a new, state-of-the-art, outdoor bandshell with concession building and event restroom facilities. Covered walkways between the buildings surround an open, grassy area ideal for a variety of seating, tented events, or gated festivals.
