Located in the heart of the CBD, the first Parliamentary building in Australia offers both classically-styled rooms and contemporarily designed spaces. From the vast Fountain Court with its magnificent water feature and the sophisticated Jubilee Room’s galleried book-lined walls to the 300 person Strangers’ Dining Room with its panoramic views of The Domain.

The Strangers’ Dining Room

The Strangers’ Dining Room is the largest venue in Parliament House. Floor to ceiling glass windows provide panoramic views of Sydney’s iconic Domain, while the high wood panelled ceilings give the space a unique and retro feel. It is the perfect venue for corporate lunches, dinners, gala events, product launches, seminars and more. Moveable walls spaced throughout the venue mean you can hold a small and intimate function, or open the room to its full capacity.

The Strangers’ Lounge is a reception area adjoining the Strangers’ Dining Room. With panoramic views across the Domain and a retro-outfitted bar, the Strangers’ Lounge is an ideal venue for cocktail parties, receptions and as a meeting area for guests attending a larger function in the Strangers’ Dining Room

Members’ Dining Room

The Members’ Dining Room is an intimate and exclusive dining space within Parliament House. Floor to ceiling glass windows provide panoramic views of Sydney’s iconic Domain, while the high wood panelled ceilings give the space a unique and retro feel. Usually reserved for members of Parliament, it is the perfect venue for smaller corporate lunches, dinners, product launches and more.

Jubilee Room

With its book-lined walls, heritage furnishing and ornate stained-glass ceiling, the Jubilee Room embodies the history and austerity commonly associated with Australia’s first and oldest parliament. But don’t let that mislead you; the room is also fully equipped with contemporary conference room features, making it the perfect venue for a board meeting, product launch, seminar, morning or afternoon tea or even a cocktail reception.

Fountain Room

The Fountain Court is one of the most iconic spaces within Parliament House. With its marbled floors and central water feature by the late Robert Woodward, it is a striking and versatile space. Guests can soak up the unique ambience of the Parliamentary precinct, perhaps even catching a glimpse of politicians moving between the Chambers!

The Fountain Court is adjoined by the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council foyers; two of the most historic areas of the precinct, and by the walkway into the Strangers’ Dining Room. The walls are decorated with exhibitions of fine art, lending a further unique and cultural dimension to your event. It is the perfect venue for truly memorable function and has hosted cocktail parties, product launches and gala occasions.

Board and Meeting Rooms

The Theatrette is a purpose-built venue suitable for lectures, presentations, seminars and even movie screenings. Located beneath the Fountain Court, guests access the Theatrette via a marble staircase which opens onto a reception area featuring a built-in bar and lobby lounge. The walls are adorned with local Australian film memorabilia, providing a cultural twist to your next function.

The Waratah Room is a contemporary meeting room that is ideal for board meetings, presentations, small seminars, training sessions and more. Guests access the Waratah Room via the Legislative Assembly foyer and Fountain Court, providing them with an opportunity to experience the unique parliamentary ambience before settling down to business.

The Rooftop Garden

The Rooftop Garden is one of the Parliament’s most unique hidden gems. A rare oasis amidst the chaos of the CBD, this beautiful patch of green is the perfect venue for a cocktail reception, product launch and more. Carefully landscaped by the Royal Botanic Gardens, the beds feature a mix of native Australian plants and shrubs. Nestled in between parliamentary offices, and surrounded by CBD high-rises, the garden is a unique space that is unmatched anywhere else.
