Rivers Edge Catering has offered superior catering and wedding services for the Portland area for over 25 years. Our executive Chef is from Europe and is trained in cuisines from all over the world. His cooking emphasis is based solely on our clients and what they wish to create. Chef Carter is a great listener and will help to create just about any menu you desire within your budget. We are honored to be among the Green Caterers listed with the City of Portland’s Office of sustainable Development. In 2007 we received a Blue Works Award for our continuing efforts in environmentally responsible practices in both our kitchen and offices.
Our service and event coordination team is lead by Brad Zusman. He has over 20 years experience from managing intimate events of 20 up to massive galas and meetings of 6,000 guests. Whatever service level you require, Brad has the knowledge and team behind him to make things work at the highest service standards your budget will allow. We always strive to execute 5 star service even though most clients have a 3 star budget.

Preferred Caterer: Museum of Oregon Territory (Tumwater Room), The Al Kader Shrine Center, Oregon City Golf Club, 200 Market Building, Columbia River Yacht Club and the Water Oasis. Each of these venues covers just about every geographical location for the Portland metro area
Event Staffing: We offer a full line of staff to meet the needs of your event, formal or informal. Our capabilities range from a simple server or bartender to a team of professionally trained servers. Our talented front of the house (FOH) and back of the house (BOH) staff will execute the event, allowing you to relax and enjoy the occasion.
Rentals, Tents and More: We deal exclusively with Scott the owner of Barbur Blvd Rentals. Our long term and personal relationship with Scott allows us to pass the benefits of this relationship to you, our client. Scott’s team can help with tent rentals, tables, chairs and much more. By closely coordinating with Barbur Blvd Rentals, our event specialists will make your job a simple one.
Comprehensive Event Analysis: We offer expert guidance in event planning. Our event specialists can help you plan a simple informal occasion to a formal sit down black tie affair. Our Event Needs Analysis includes: menu development & menu selection, venue selection, professional staffing for your event, tabletop and linens, theme & décor and special entertainment.

Soup: Soupe au Pistou - Pistou, the Provencal cousin of pesto, is stirred into this summer vegetable, bean and pasta soup just before serving.
Appetizer: Ricotta Crostini – Combination of Ricotta, lemon zest, tangy olives, and refreshing mint gives this crostini a Mediterranean twist.
Entrée: Thai Spiced Dungeness Crab cakes – Thai spiced dungeness crab cakes with ginger-lemongrass aioli.
Side: Dauphinoise Potatoes – Yukon gold potatoes sliced thin and baked to a golden brown with cream, butter, and brie
Vegetarian: Ratatouille Tart – Tomatoes, zucchini squash, onions, peppers, garlic and peppers in a flaky crust garnished with gorgonzola cream
Salad: Summer Heirloom Tomato – Farmed vine ripened Heirloom tomatoes with sweet onions and gorgonzola drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar
All our ingredients are sustainable and sourced locally. Even though at times depending on the season, we absolutely pride ourselves on keeping things local. We source things through local farmers and vendors unless it is impossible. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome at Rivers Edge Catering and we go out of our way to provide alternatives for the special needs of some of your guests.
