About Us

Truly unique New Orleans wedding ceremonies and receptions come to life at Rosy’s Jazz Hall. We are the historic New Orleans wedding venue that was once a legendary music club. The property at 500 Valence was originally built in 1897. At various times in its past, the building had been a residence, bar, and grocery store. In the late 1970’s, it was purchased by Rosy Wilson for the purpose of bringing jazz to the Uptown neighborhood. Following a complete renovation, it opened as a jazz club without equal. In the next few years, Rosy’s was host to the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Stevie Wonder, and many others.

The club was closed in 1980. In the early 1990’s, it was briefly reopened as a sports bar, and had remained empty and unused since then. The building was purchased in March of 1998. Following another full renovation, Rosy’s Jazz Hall Events and Catering opened in 1999 and has since become a famous location for New Orleans weddings.

Our events are fully catered in house. With award-winning menus featuring everything from Modern-day fare to traditional New Orleans classics to Old World Cuisine, there is something for your wedding guests’ every taste. We use top-quality ingredients all creatively and attractively displayed by our staff of in-house chefs. China, glass, and silver are always used on the buffets. Wrought-iron candlesticks and other signature decor items further enhance the buffets. Our all-inclusive packages start at just $49 per person and include an open call-brand bar, hot and cold hors d’ouervres both passed and stationed, as well as all tables, chairs, and white linens.

Rosy's Jazz Hall features an old New Orleans ambiance with hardwood floors, brick walls, and an outdoor patio. An indoor French Quarter style balcony overlooks our two-story atrium, where beautiful ceremonies are held under the canopy of two 30' ficus trees. We are always looking forward to helping create the next legendary wedding!
