Your wedding day should be one of joyful planning, yet this is often not the case. Many couples face difficulties associated with divorce, not being members of a parish anywhere or situations where one party is raised Catholic and the other is not. In these situations, Saint Patrick Catholic Church can be of invaluable help in assisting you either with a Nuptial Wedding Mass or Wedding Service either in our beautifully appointed church or on location across Rhode Island.
Here at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, we will do all in our power to insure that you are treated with courtesy and on the day of your wedding, your guests will experience the loving presence of Jesus at your personal wedding feast. You will experience a "confirmation of the goodness of marriage" and of you and of your families and guests, all of who are welcome to share holy communion, the fullest sign of Christ's blessing upon your new life together
Fr. Roger Durand, Pastor
Monsignor Durand is a life-long Rhode Islander. He graduated from Saint John's Roman Catholic Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts and achieved a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Providence College. He has been ordained a deacon and a priest. He is the founding pastor of this parish community. In addition to assisting in Weddings, Saint Patrick's is a fully functioning parish with 3 weekend Masses and a rapidly growing number of parishioners. Many couples married here have also elected to become members and join us for weekend Masses. We also baptize children and assist in preparation for First Communion and Confirmation. Fr. Durand has officiated at many weddings and knows that a capable and caring priest can be the key to that special and meaningful day. Our parish employs an organist and we have access to fine local soloists. We can assist in all aspect of your wedding planning.
Marriages may be celebrated in any of five ways at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
Since your Wedding day should be as individual as you are, we allow for freedom of musical selections. There is no requirement for marriage classes or other time consuming preparatory sessions before your wedding. Your days will already be overfilled with preparations for the wedding day without such added requirements.
Please consult the referenced web site for additional information concerning weddings as well as cost associated with your wedding.
