Juan Arache is a pastry chef and cake designer with more than 20 years of experience in his art. Arache has won major competitions for his designs and has created cakes for notable customers such as the Kennedy Family, Martha Stewart, Madonna and Oprah.
He has won numerous first prizes and gold medals for his designs including "Best Bridal Cake Design Award 2002" from the Societe Culinaire Philanthropiqué. His work has been featured in television programs, books and many magazines.
Now Arache has created the SugarRoom, a cake design studio with a contemporary approach that combines century-old decorating techniques with a modern sensibility. Unlike many designers who only consider the outside of the cake, Arache is an expert pastry chef who creates a cake that is delicious, in addition to being beautiful.
He always considers quality and great taste when creating a cake for a customer, offering a large variety of flavors, as well as a broad range of techniques, from Italian merengue icing, buttercream to Fondant and Gum Paste.
