Suggestions from the Pastor of Sunrise Chapel:
Personal Attention: Find a place with a staff who will give you personal attention and who take genuine interest in your wedding. Ask plenty of questions and share your hopes and plans. Get to know each other. This is a very personal day, and you want to feel comfortable with the people who will be supporting your very special event.
Facilities: Look for a place that is attractive, not too big or too small. Ideally a wedding facility should have a pleasant, inviting space for the ceremony, a good sound system, a bride’s changing room, and possibly even a place for the reception. Many couples love the convenience of having the reception the same place as the wedding. It also makes travel arrangements much easier. Adequate off street parking is important. And consider the beauty of the surroundings - many couples like to get married in a location with a view.
Counseling: Every marriage relationship has its challenges – facing them is part of learning to love more deeply. It is one thing to find someone to perform the ceremony. It is also important, but more difficult, to find someone who provides caring counseling before the ceremony, and support afterward.
Time Allowed: In looking for a place to get married and to have your reception, find out how much time you will have to decorate, use the facilities, and clean up. Also, ask about the time and date of the rehearsal.
Hidden Costs: When considering price, take into account any costs over and above the initial cost of renting the facility.
Incredible venue. Thank you for the beautiful ceremony!
