The Terrace Inn is the perfect destination to host your ceremony, rehearsal dinner, reception (up to 150) and lodging guests attending your event. The Inn's 38 rooms are charmingly decorated and affordable. Larger suites are available for the bride and groom. One suite is complimentary with 25 rooms booked. Sorry, we do not block rooms. Events must be held here to book rooms/and rooms must have a one night deposit to secure them.
Our beautiful Devol dining room needs little decorating but brides are welcome to enhance the room with your own decor. Linens (white included in price, ivory a little higher) are included in the facility fee as is moving the furniture, servers, bartender, and reserving the room for your private event. Fees range from 1,000 to $4,000.00 per event for the dining room. High season (July/August) will be the highest rate. The room is otherwise open to the public as the 1911 Restaurant. If you rent just the private dining room and the terrace is open to the public the facility fee can be lowered.
The 1911 Restaurant is open nightly for dinner mid-June through Labor Day from 5 - 9 p.m. and weekends September through February. It is not open Christmas Eve or Day). It is open to the public on Thanksgiving for dinner.
The most popular buffet is our Northern Michigan Buffet at $32.95 per person. This is for 100 or more. This does not include gratuity or tax (20-22% gratuity), tax is 6%. This includes two entrees (our broiled whitefish is fresh from the Lake!) and Chicken Hemingway (a signature dish with dried cherries from traverse orchards and our own basil sauce), hot vegetables that are based on seasonality..our brussel sprouts with bacon are awesome as our our fresh green beans with slivered almonds. Starch includes either our garlic smashed rosemary potatoes (these are NOT from a box, these are hand peeled and boiled and seasoned with fresh rosemary)..herbed better..and dessert. Desserts range from our Mixed Berry Streusel to Texas Sheet cake, Lemon Bars, carrot cakes, cheese cakes, pies, lemon mousse, or for a little more our chocolate ganache torte with godiva chocolate or blueberry chocolate torte or mixed berry napoleon..made with puff pastry, lemon curd, mixed berries, and real cream.
Other choices are beef tip and noodles, gnocchi (vegetarian), risottos, roast beef, prime rib, redskin potatoes, au gratins, chicken marsala, and more
Plated dinners can be ordered for up to 75 guests. This would be a fixed meal.
