The Historic Old Church is an event venue located in downtown Portland's cultural West End district -- steps away from urban parks, upscale hotels and city nightlife. Since its completion in 1882, it has been a Portland landmark and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1972. It is no longer a dedicated church, but serves Portland as a unique community facility; no wonder weddings and commitment ceremonies are the most frequently booked events at this site.

The Historic Old Church is no longer a dedicated church. It operates as an independent historical society and maintains no religious affiliation. This enables each couple to select the officiator of their choice, whether it’s a pastor from your home church or a family friend. Our event coordinators are happy to assist you in finding an officiant from our list of nondenominational ministers if needed.

My husband and I were married at The Old Church in the Parlour Room. It was a beautiful space for our small wedding and the staff were very accommodating leading up to and during the wedding. I highly recommend it!
