From its construction in 1907 until the mid-1990s, the ballroom served as a meeting hall for fraternal organizations, first for The Woodmen of the World and then for nearly 50 years as the home of The Prince Hall Masons. Honoring its rich history as a members-only lodge, it was dubbed The Secret Society Ballroom in 2004, beginning its modern life as an events space. The ballroom has since played host to dozens of music, spoken word, and art events, wine tastings, weddings, and private parties.
