The TA Guest Ranch

In 1991, we bought the historic TA Ranch. At first, we thought only to continue the rich tradition of operating the cattle ranch. But as we restored the Victorian buildings, we decided to share the beauty and history of this place with others.

Today, the TA Ranch is open to those of you wanting to enjoy a western vacation, family reunion, or business retreat. It should be noted that we are not a resort with swimming pools, tennis courts, and crowds of people -- the tourist West can be found elsewhere.

But if you're seeking the real West, a slower pace, with wonderful food, accommodations, and activities, the TA is your destination.

From sunup to sundown, you'll find plenty to do at the TA Ranch. You can horseback ride, fish the rainbow trout stocked TA lake, hike, pitch horseshoes, mountain bike, go on a wagon ride, or simply grab a book from our library and get cozy under a tree or on one of the seven porches.

At the TA you'll find yourself perfectly situated to take part in a variety of nearby activities:

• Golf at one of the three nearby championship courses
  
• Ride the Powder River Range
  
• Attend a local rodeo
• Take a backpacking trip into the Big Horn Mountains
  
• Examine Indian tepee rings on the TA from the Bozeman Trail era
  
• Explore historical sites of the Old West with the TA day tours
  
• Participate in living history presentations that bring to life the weapons, wagons, roping, riding, Native American culture, and music of the Old West
