About Us

6 acres of beautiful Mediterranean plantings and a variety of venues make the award-winning Water Conservation Garden a memorable site for a wedding, reception, corporate retreat, private party, memorial service, or other event. After 4 p.m., when the Garden closes to the public, three separate areas are available for rent, as is the entire Garden. During Garden hours, some smaller venues are also available.

The White Garden
Cascading with lovely wisteria, the arbor in the White Garden makes a romantic and memorable backdrop for wedding and special event photos.

The Amphitheater
Accommodating up to 350 people, the outdoor amphitheater provides a dramatic site for weddings and larger events.

The Plaza and Covered Patio
A spacious tiled courtyard, surrounded with flowering trees and plants, offers a unique site for receptions. The covered patio provides a shady spot for guests.

The Gazebo
The Victorian Gazebo opens onto a flower-bordered lawn. This is an ideal location for your intimate ceremony and will accommodate seating for up to 75.

The Multipurpose Room is available with all of these rentals for wedding and event preparations. Rental fee includes facility availability for a photo shoot before the event, if scheduled with the Garden.

The Garden is available for set up at 1 p.m. for evening events. We encourage you to schedule your ceremony after 4 p.m., when the Garden is closed to the public.

Please visit www.thegarden.org for more information, or feel free to contact us for reservations and scheduling if you would like to book the Garden for your own event.

~ About The Water Conservation Garden ~

"Promoting water conservation in the southern California landscape through excellent exhibits and programs that educate and inspire the public."

The Water Conservation Garden has nearly five acres of displays that showcase water conservation through a series of beautiful themed gardens, such as a native plant garden and a vegetable garden, as well as how-to displays such as mulch and irrigation exhibits. Admission is free, and the Garden can be viewed on a self-guided tour, or through one of our programs. Programs include:

  • Four to six classes per month for the general public, including landscaping, gardening, and art offerings.
  • Training in water conservation for professional landscapers.
  • School tours.
  • Regularly-scheduled adult group tours.
  • Tours by appointment.
  • Large educational special events.
  • Outreach programs, including a speaker’s bureau.

The Garden can be a learning laboratory for the dedicated gardener, a delightful place for an afternoon stroll, or a place to gather lots of information about water-wise, or California-Friendly® gardening, while attending a fun family festival.

The Garden is supported by water district dues, and by memberships, donations, grants, facility rentals, and gift shop sales. In 2005, Friends of the Water Conservation was created to increase private support for the Garden.

The Garden does not allow dogs, with the exception of guide dogs.

The Water Conservation Garden… an enchanting place to celebrate your wedding in an eco-friendly outdoor environment.
