Spending a day at the Woodhouse Day Spa-Denver makes you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and a little decadent for taking the time to do something for yourself. But, the feeling… hmmm, it’s heavenly!
Owner Tina Lovelace describes the setting. “This house was built in 1896 for Senator Merritt. The architect was Frank Edbrooke, who also designed the Brown Palace. It was a bed and breakfast before we bought and restored the home to its original glory. The home is in the historic register and is located uptown in the historic Swallow Hill district. Each room is unique and offers something special for the guests.”
Everything about this home is charming. From the moment you step into the door, you’re transformed into a different space. You can feel yourself relax as you allow the stresses of the day wash away from you. The healing quietude will overtake you. You’ll surrender to the peace of nurturing ambience. This is a chance to connect with all of your senses as you listen to soothing music and the trickle of water on stone. The tranquil décor invites the feeling of calm into your soul and the warmth of the atmosphere releases the tension in your muscles.
The spa has 10 large treatment rooms, which are beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, calming colors to set the mood and antique furniture to complement the setting. Before guests begin their spa treatments, they are provided with luxurious, plush robes that are silky on the outside and warm and cuddly on the inside. Separate men’s and ladies’ lounge rooms are provided for extra comfort and high-count cotton sheets are used to enhance the experience.
