Over the last decade Tracey Smith has spent her life capturing the world on film. Capitalizing on an artistic eye and a love for the camera that took root in high school, Tracey left her native Oregon to study commercial photography at the Art Institute of Seattle. While there she was on the Deans list and graduated with honors. After leaving the Art Institute, and completing two simultaneous internships, Tracey accepted a position with the largest portrait studio in the Pacific Northwest. After spending a few years specializing in digital/web imaging, she decided to get behind the camera full time. Now Tracey is doing what she loves best... photographing people and animals.
Tracey uses a natural, artistic approach when shooting portraits. During a shoot she strives to create a fun and relaxed environment, which helps create an energy that always shows up in the final print. At weddings especially, Tracey keeps an ever watchful eye for those perfect spontaneous moments that when captured will allow her clients to remember and share their special day forever.
Originally from West Linn, Oregon, Tracey now resides in Kirkland, Washington with her husband Kevin, weimaraner Otto, and iguana Emma.
