This Stately mansion was built by August and Mary Schott Westphal in 1913. The English Tudor style home has a Frank Lloyd Wright style brick and stucco exterior. A three-foot deep concrete fountain sits on the lawn of the estate. Beautiful gardens surround the mansion.
Master Gardener Pam Terpstra and her husband Garret orchestrated the remarkable "rebirth" of the historic mansion.
Pam and Garret's passion to preserve the original character, architecture and rich history can be felt throughout. An Old World ambiance and grandeur were preserved as well. Special attention to detail, comfort and luxurious amenities are what guests experience while staying at the Inn. Weddings can be held around the lovely fountain that sits on the lawn of the estate, receptions held inside surrounding by antiques and family heirlooms.
The Westphal Mansion Inn Bed and Breakfast is now a Local Historical Landmark, that the Hartford community can once again be proud to share!
