About Us

Hi! I am Elyse DeHart-Litt, owner of Willow Floral Design. My passion for floral design and my desire to own my very own business are what have led me here today. I was born and raised in Modesto, California where I have several family members running their own businesses as well. I left Modesto for seven years in which time, I earned my college degree, worked in San Francisco, traveled, and experienced life. My floral design experience started in New Zealand when I was living there and working in the wine industry. My husband worked extra long days at the time so I had my nights free to explore something new. A friend told me about a popular floral design school in the area. I enrolled as was smitten from the start.

From New Zealand, we moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is where my husband was born and raised. I attended another floral design school in Minneapolis in an effort to expand my skill set. After I finished the school, I was introduced to the owner of a popular floral design company in the Twin Cities and started to work with her that fall. I worked with an extremely talented group of girls where we focused on high-end weddings and events. I was fortunate to work with a business owner that recognized and insisted upon the importance of high quality products and presentation and outstanding customer service.

I learned so much from working with such driven, artistic people. The model of business I learned and observed on a daily basis is exactly what I have been able to create here in Modesto.

I could not be happier to be where I am and to wake up every day with the desire and motivation to make a difference. I know what it takes to plan a wedding and I know how important it is to find the right people to help you put it together. Each wedding is a unique experience. I believe that the art in design comes from understanding what your clients are envisioning and to bring that to life for them.
