Our premier mountaintop venue, The Lodge at Sunspot, rests at 10,700 feet at the summit of Winter Park Resort --accessible at the base of the resort by chairlift and/or gondola as well as traditional transportation. It is a magnificent log and stone facility with panoramic views of Winter Park Ski Area, Vasquez Cirque, and the Continental Divide. The Lodge at Sunspot’s huge wrap-around deck, overlooking vast mountain peaks and colorful wildflowers, is a perfect location for a breathtaking ceremony. The lodge itself is an icon of Rocky Mountain ruggedness. The spectacular stone and wooden-beam exterior with large exposed timbers gives way to a massive six-foot river rock fireplace just inside the front door. Inside the dining room impressive picture windows look out on the mountains.
In addition to the rugged architecture and mountain backdrop of the lodge, our gourmet chefs cater to your specific tastes in the restaurant located on site. An ideal location for weddings, The Lodge at Sunspot is capable of accommodating up to 200 guests. Weddings are available mid-June through September.
Inside The Lodge at Sunspot dancing the night away under the stars comes standard via floor to ceiling windows and endless views of the Fraser Valley. The elegant setting along with its epicurean delights comes sealed with a kiss as gondolas arrive toward the end of your evening to sweep you and your guests back down the mountain.
