We met when we were very young, as our families would cottage together in Wasaga Beach. Our families lost touch for a number of years, but reconnected years later. I was living in Poland at the time, studying Polish and traveling around Europe. Steve was living in Toronto, working for a tour company.

In January 2004, Steve was home for a weekend to visit the family. Our families set us up on a date that Steve didn't know about, and he ended up standing me up on the first date...oops! The very next day we spent the day together, and have been attached at the hip ever since.

That summer I went to college in Niagara, and spent the next 2 years in St Catharines, Ontario. Steve was living in Toronto at the time, commuting back and forth on weeknights & weekends. In April 2006, we decided we needed a change of scenery, and ended up here in beautiful British Columbia.

Deciding where to get married was a challenge. While most of our friends and family are in Ontario, our hearts told us to get married in BC. This truly is one of the most magnificent places on earth, and many of our friends and family have never had the opportunity to experience it. We look forward to hosting you in the city that will be host to millions of visitors next Winter.
