We are a little off-kilter, as I'm sure you've figured out, so naturally, we do things our way...
Clint and I met over 3 years ago. He worked at a video game shop and I worked at a hair salon 2 doors down, in the same shopping center. One night, he and a co-worker were out on the sidewalk after they closed their shop, playing hackysack. They were right in front of the salon, mooching the salon's light and coming dangerously close to breaking the giant plate glass windows. I watched them with interest-albeit mingled with annoyance- while I closed the salon. After I closed, I went outside go to my car, when Clint stopped me to giddily apologize for the ruckus. We ended up standing there in the parking lot, talking for over an hour. It turned out that we were friends with many of the same people! Weird! He invited me to a show his improv comedy group was having later that week, and I dragged myself to it (I had to give myself a pep talk so I wouldn't flake out and not go!). I haven't missed but a handful of shows since... :-)
Clint failed to tell me he was a twin in the handful of conversations we had between our first meeting and the first show I went to. So, I waltzed into the room the show was to be held in with a shopping bag full of cookies in my hand and edged my way over to Buck, who was chatting up some lovely co-eds. The exchange that followed went something like this:
"Clint! Clint! I brought you some cookies!!!"
(...)
"Clint!"
(glazed look, followed by recognition of situation)
"You're cute, but I'm not Clint. I think you want that one." (points across room)
(...)
"OH!" (nervous laughter, slight embarrassment)
Clint is a member of Obviously Unrehearsed Improv. He proposed at one of their shows on December 1st, 2007, in the middle of a live Boggle game. So cute! So good!
