At a party to celebrate the naturalization of Gail's relatives, Uncle John and Uncle Alex, and the arrival of her Aunt Boding and cousin Hervy to the US, Wayne popped the question! It was a truly joyous event with lots to celebrate.
Frankie is our chunky miniature dachsund. Wayne gave him to me on our 4 year anniversary, so Frankie is 4 years old though still full of energy. He has a character of his own and loves people. He thinks he is part of the family and not merely a dog.
Pat (Wayne and Josh's mom), Josh, Amy (Josh's girlfriend), and Gail joined Wayne in cutting, perming and/or dyeing our hair the evening before Wayne's knee surgery. The surgeon probably thought we were all crazy. Wayne kept his perm throughout his knee recovery.
Pat (Wayne's Mom) flew us out to see her in Hawaii and boy did we have a good time. The weather was not cooperating on most days, so our pictures tell the tale of our windy beach experiences.
Gail presented a poster on her master thesis work at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Conference, which was held in Washington, DC this year. Though still in school, experiences like this help make crucial connections for possible future academic and job opportunities.
