Peonies just happen to be my favorite flower. They have an almost ruffled appearance to their petals, lending a gentle femininity to any wedding bouquet or centerpiece.

Monochromatic peony arrangements, like the one above, can be striking and bold. Because of their unique texture, sticking with one color of peony is never boring. Same goes for the bouquet below. By going with a lighter color peony, the effect is less dramatic, but still very romantic.

You can also add peonies in unexpected places, such as cake toppers on a vintage-style table.

I absolutely love the look of a pale peony bouquet. The one above layers in very light shades of pink and yellow against a myriad of white peonies.

This centerpiece is definitely for the bride who wants to add a touch of modernity to her vintage wedding.  By infusing brighter shades into the arrangement, these bold pops of color spark loads of visual interest.
