How did the two of you meet?
Jim and I met while working together at an advertising agency. He was working as a graphic designer and I was working in the marketing department. I remember being new to the company and really shy. We met in the elevator during my first week. I remember immediately having a crush on him. He had the most amazing smile and was so sincere.

What was the theme or design inspiration for your wedding?
When we got engaged, the only request Jim made was that our wedding happen in autumn because that's his favorite time of year. We got engaged in August 2007 and married in October 2008. We decided that the color scheme would include navy, purples, yellow and gold. I didn't necessarily have a theme planned but I wanted our wedding to represent fall and I wanted to embrace our amazing wedding venue which was very rustic and classic.

Tell us about the attire for both bride and groom:
I got my dress at a wedding dress store that sold used designer dresses. All of the dresses were donated by past brides and the funds go to a children's charity. I thought it was a great cause. The dresses were 1/3 of the original cost. My dress was designed by Judd Waddell; it was strapless and considered an A- line. The thing I loved most about it was the French lace on the top and bottom of the dress. Jim's suit was designed by Paul Smith. It fit him perfectly!

Favorite design element of your big day:
My favorite design element was the setting of the ceremony. Our ceremony was outside facing a beautifully, rustic old building that had tons of windows. I walked down a cobble stone path with gorgeous flowers everywhere and lanterns lit in the trees. I couldn't have asked for a more romantic setting.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding?
I think the biggest challenge was making sure everything happened at the right time. You work with so many vendors throughout the day and you just hope that everything comes together perfectly...which it did!

What advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
Rely on friends and family for advice! I was lucky enough to have friends and family who had recently gotten married and their resources and knowledge helped us make the right decisions for our wedding day.

Best advice someone told you at the wedding?
Have fun!!

Any specific reasons behind certain choices you made for your wedding? Flowers that were mom's favorite, or your first dance song was the first song you ever heard together, that kind of thing?
For the favors, I wanted to do something special and that was meaningful to us. We donated towards a charity that was very important to my aunt and uncle who passed away a few years ago. To me, that was one of the most important and unforgettable parts of my wedding because my aunt and uncle will always be an influential part of our lives.

Tell me something about your photographer, China Jorrin.
Hmm...What didn't I love? My photographer was amazing! She was extremely professional and relaxed. All of the photos capture the true happiness and love that my husband and I, our families and friends shared that day. I love every picture!!
