The couple took advantage of their area's great weather by hosting their wedding in the museum's courtyard patio, which turned positively magical under string lights. Thank you to Jessica Fairchild Photography for sharing this beautiful day with us!
What was most important for you to include in your wedding – what was your biggest priority?
Incorporating family traditions and making sure that everyone had fun.
What was your favorite detail?
The family sword that we cut our cake with. My parents and my grandparents cut their wedding cake with the same sword. We had pictures displayed of them from their cake-cuttings on the cake table, along with the sword.
What was your wedding theme or style?
Simple, romantic, and magical.
A few words that describe the two of you and your wedding:
Love, laughter, gratitude, magical (we called ourselves "Team Magical" when we first started dating and that ended up being our wedding hashtag).
Your first dance song and why you chose it:
"Then" by Brad Paisley. This song was playing at a Brad Paisley concert the first time Josh said he "thought he was falling in love with me."
What is your advice to couples who are planning weddings now?
I highly recommend a day-of coordinator because it takes all the stress out so you two can just enjoy the wedding day. Soak up every second of the wedding — it goes by fast. Try not to stress too much about all the little things in the planning process, and just enjoy!
