When Kate Belle sent over her photos of Mick and Polly's wedding, I immediately fell in love. These two look so comfortable and happy, you can't help but enjoy their day along with them. And it truly looks like it was a laid-back affair (the stunning ceremony site that feels like they just happened upon it, the easiness of her gorgeous dress, the fact that Mick went surfing the morning of the wedding), which, I'm sure, belies all the hard work and hours that went into making it look that way!
Polly gives us her thoughts after the photos so be sure to keep reading.
Polly Tells Us About Their Wedding
How did you meet?
We're old school friends. After years of persistence on Mick's behalf, I finally gave in at the end of Uni and we started dating. But I think I was the most surprised that we had finally gotten together, everyone else had been expecting it for years!
Where was your wedding?
Peppers Coorabell Retreat, Byron Hinterland NSW (in Australia), the place, food and staff were absolutely amazing. We couldn't recommend the place highly enough.
What was your wedding style?
Relaxed, natural and happy! We're both outdoor people so we wanted a ceremony under the trees among beautiful surrounds. We'd had lots of rain in the lead up to the day so everything was very green and lush!
Favourite part of your wedding?
Walking up to Mick and seeing tears in his eyes! And my Dad playing a song for me on his saxophone during the reception.
Any special or funny details?
Mick and the boys went surfing together on the wedding day. Everyone was very emotional and we all shared plenty of happy tears! Also, Mick made rocky road for all the guests to eat or take home, but it was scoffed down within minutes!
Advice for other brides and grooms?
Stay organised but relaxed and plan everything together so the day represents both of you. Enjoy it!!
