Yonggeng turned 24 yesterday!! and we just want to thank everyone who turned up for the surprise birthday party and helped to make Yonggeng's birthday a very memorable one! =) We had the birthday dinner at The Loft, which has both a restaurant and a bar and the atmosphere was pretty good! =) This is Yonggeng's very chocolatey birthday cake, which I ordered from Patisserie Francoise! I think he was very delighted to have such a chocolatey cake!! =) Now Yonggeng is...
Yesterday was Valentine's Day! =) Yonggeng made a reservation at an Italian restaurant called La Riviera! it is such a popular restaurant that we were only given the 5.30-7.30pm slot for dinner! but nevertheless, we wanted to try out the food at this restaurant! When we arrived at the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that all the waiters and chef are true blue Italians! This is really rare in Scotland! The 3 of them each orderd a mixed sushi platter! They wanted to try all the different kinds of sushi... and they had great fun learning to use the chopsticks and daring each other to try the raw...

The two lions greet us at the start of the Chinatown street! What a crowded street!! Everyone's at Chinatown to take in the Chinese New Year atmosphere! What a sight! I love those chinese sausages!! This prosperity plant looks so twisted! =P Lots of chinese new year decorations! That's me! i'm born in the year...
I just received an email from a friend asking how I spent my Chinese New Year in Glasgow.... She mentioned that (in Singapore)... "Traditions seem to be slowly ebbing away...less visiting, less emphasis on customs and so on...or perhaps, I'm just getting older and things just don't look as they did from a child's view? Hee..." well... I replied and said that things are very different here in Glasgow! probably because we miss home so much that we are trying to recreate a chinese new year...
