What I love about Glasgow...

So this is a rather random post of the sights and sounds of Glasgow! But these are some snap shots of our life in Glasgow and the little blessings from God that make us love this place - Glasgow! =)

One day as I was walking from the bus stop to my lab, something caught my eye! This bright pink flowering plant was almost unreal!! I have never in my entire life seen little pink hearts hanging off a branch!!

I later found out that this plant is called Bleeding Heart (scientific name: Dicentra). If saga seeds (相思豆) are called love seeds, then these pink flowers should be called love flowers!! =) I immediately whipped out my camera phone and took many photos of this plant! I might be a romantic at heart, but these flowers just remind me of God's love! Maybe He created this plant to remind us of His everlasting love for us! =)

I'm sure I've posted photos of dim sum on my blog, but I still have to put up this photo to show our parents that we've been pampering ourselves and enjoying good food as often as we can! =) I guess one of the highlights of our weekends is a dim sum lunch at See Woo restaurant! After a long week of studying and working, it always feels good to enjoy some chinese food that we miss so badly! =) Mmmm... feels like home!

Last but not least, Scotland is famous for its traditional dance - Ceilidh (pronounced as kay-lee)! On 17th April, I went for my first Ceilidh, organized by our church! I'm sure most of you have not heard of Ceilidh... well... basically Ceilidh is like a traditional folk dance and the music is cheerful and lively. The basic steps can be learned easily and a short instructional session is often provided for new dancers before the start of the dance itself. Most dances require you to dance with a partner and changing of partners is common throughout the session! It is extremely enjoyable and easy to learn. Once you are on the dance floor and the music begins, you can't help but be carried away by the lively music! We danced for a few hours that night and everyone went home in smiles! =) I've uploaded 3 videos of this fun-filled, sweaty, and super enjoyable event in the Video Clips page!! Enjoy!! =)
