We chose this passage to be read during our wedding solemnization, so as to serve as a reminder that when we say "i love you", it means more than just a sweet nothing. Love, namely unconditional love, that our Lord has showered upon us, encompasses so much more than just a wonderful feeling. More than anything, it is an action we can choose to take. Our hope is that our marriage will be characterized by love, not just in the good and happy times, but also in the quarrels and difficult times.
