Kuan Yong came to fetch me at 7pm sharp that day as promised. He was dressed smartly and looked pretty anxious. My mom was already grinning at me. I think we both had sensed that something is going on.

We ended up in Olio, Renaissance Hotel, Melaka. We were greeted at the entrance by the restaurant manager, Mr.Oh; a friendly and wonderful person to deal with. We had a great time talking and enjoying the romantic atmosphere. At dessert, he looked pretty 'kan-cheong' and excused himself to the gents.

While waiting, I grabbed a book that I had in my bag and browsed through it. When he was walking to our table, I was still stuffing my head into the book. I was telling myself, "Let me finish this last line. Just one last line".

Then, I heard him calling me, "Sayang". I looked up and I was shocked. He was standing in front of me with 4 waiters and Mr.Oh right behind me. All of them were grinning from ear to ear. Then, he knelt down and whispered "Will you marry me?". He was holding a diamond ring and a bouquet of 100 roses. I looked blackly at him for a while and then, I whispered back "yea" and smiled back.

We smooched and I helped him to his seat. Everyone in the restaurant was clapping and cheering. It was such a memorable day and I definitely going to pin it as one of the best moments in my life. Thanks Sayang.
