Bride’s Perspective: Bridal Boot Camp
Hi mywedding brides! I can’t believe it’s already July; just under two months to go before our wedding! (*Plays The Final Countdown*) Since the big day will be here before we know it, I’m kicking my health and fitness routine up a notch!
Hi mywedding brides! I can’t believe it’s already July; just under two months to go before our wedding! (*Plays The Final Countdown*) Since the big day will be here before we know it, I’m kicking my health and fitness routine up a notch! Here are four things that are keeping me motivated to reach my bride fitness goals.
Cute Workout Gear. When else are you going to be able to wear fun wedding-inspired workout clothes to the gym? I love this “Bride” rhinestone tank, which also has our wedding date on the back. I’ve also seen fun “Sweating for the Wedding,” “White Dress Workout,” and #BrideBeastMode tanks.
Urban Remedy Bridal Kit. Urban Remedy has some awesome healthy meal plans that are a combination of juices, salads, and healthy snacks. I love that they are delivered right to your door! I’ve done their Metabolic cleanse before (read more about it on my blog here), and I recently tried out their brand new Bridal Kit. I plan on doing one more of their cleanses a couple weeks before our wedding and I’m really looking forward to it!
Jawbone UP. I’ve tried several different fitness trackers, and so far I’ve found the Jawbone UP Move to be the easiest, and most unobtrusive option. I like that you can wear it as a wristband or clip, and the app helps you see how you’re progressing and where your health could use some improving (i.e., are you moving enough, getting enough sleep, etc.).
HIIT Classes. I recently signed up for High Intensity Interval Training classes at my gym. Short and effective, these classes are great for burning a ton of calories, fast. The classes I’ve been taking consist of an hour of switching back and forth between a cardio exercise (think powering through on a bike elliptical) for one minute, and then switching to a gnarly floor exercise like push-up burpees…with dumbbells. The class is tough, but I feel super accomplished afterwards. And I felt like I was in a bit of a workout rut before, so this class has definitely stepped up my game.
