Entry & Exit Requirements: To enter Costa Rica a valid passport with at least one blank visa page is required. The expiration date on your passport must be greater than 30 days from your date of entry to Costa Rica. To enter Costa Rica you’ll also need a pre-paid airline ticket, or proof of financial resources, for this is proof you are able to leave Costa Rica. There is a $26 exit tax that you must pay at the international airport, either by cash or credit card, to leave Costa Rica.
Costa Rica experiences a wet season, which runs from May to November, and a dry season, which runs from December to April. During the wet season, mornings mostly bring sunshine while the afternoons bring splashes of rain. Although in the months of September and October harsh downpours fill the rivers and water the plethora of hills. The dry season brings warm sunny days that are left unspoiled by the rain. Due to its tropical climate the average temperature of Costa Rica is 72 degrees F, which increases on the coastal areas. Whether it’s rain or shine, Costa Rica has a very pleasant climate.
