Just because you don’t have the funds or time for a full-blown honeymoon, doesn’t mean you and your spouse can’t enjoy some special time away basking in all your newlywed glory. Florida is a great option for a minimoon, which is just like a honeymoon, but shorter. Whether it’s a long weekend or a week-long excursion, the Sunshine State is just a quick plane or car ride away. And, as the name suggests, it’s sunny almost all year round! Florida offers a diverse range of destinations and attractions. If you want to laze on the beach (and in bed), South Florida has you covered. Looking for a more active getaway? Orlando is the place to go, boasting several world-class theme parks like Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Epcot, as well as Universal Studios (for you Harry Potter fans out there). St. Petersburg, on Florida’s West coast, is the ideal locale to golf, fish, and boat. The Florida Keys will make you feel like you have escaped to a Caribbean island, except you are a short drive or flight from Miami, a nightlife hot spot where you can dance and dine your cares away. Read on for our picks for the 5 top minimoon hotels for all different types of getaways that will deliver non-stop fun, unforgettable memories, or romantic relaxation you deserve post-wedding. The hardest part will be narrowing down your options. Unless you have time to hit all of them!

Best Beach Getaway

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach

What Reviewers Are Saying:
We have stayed here twice in the last week. Excellent all around both times. The service is impeccable, the rooms are beautiful and my favorite feature is that the pool is on the side of the hotel. Unlike many Florida hotels in this area, the pool along the side affords more time in the sun. (TripAdvisor)

Best Theme Park Getaway

Hilton Orlando

What Reviewers Are Saying:
We originally had booked another hotel for the price point and convenience to our upcoming cruise. However, after a horrible 24 hour experience we decided to check out and go a little further to the Hilton Orlando and it was wonderful. We loved your pool, your restaurant, and your front desk staff. The front desk sent us the nicest amenity for our anniversary. We felt very special during our stay and will come back soon...We come to Orlando a lot for the theme parks and cruises, I think we just found our new favorite hotel. We’ll be back this winter. Best Glam Spot

W South Beach

What Reviewers Are Saying:
My wife and I spent one last night in Miami at the W hotel as part of a 9 day holiday in Miami and the Florida keys. All we can say is WOW! It has to be one of the best hotel experiences we have had. If you have to stay in any hotel on South Beach...this one is it! From the moment we arrived we were greeted as VIPs and made to feel really special...Our room was fabulous looking over the beach and had a contemporary plush vibe and feel the hotel itself is suitable glamorous with throwback features and plenty of art in display. Best Relaxing Getaway

The Reach Key West

What Reviewers Are Saying:
Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Reach in Key West. This was my first time in Key West and wanted to enjoy a "non-kid" vacation with my girlfriend. The interior was very modern, nice couch area, bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was really wonderful. (TripAdvisor)

Best West Coast Hotel

Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort and Golf Club

What Reviewers Are Saying:
I stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding. The location alongside the Tampa Bay is excellent. It is easy to walk to bars restaurants and other places, but doesn't feel like you're on top of it. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and has spacious and comfortable rooms. There are quite a few amenities within the hotel, but can be a maze to walk to. Pool area is beautiful as well as open area behind the pool bar. (TripAdvisor)
