Minneapolis Wedding Dresses

We can talk venues and flowers and cupcakes all day, but when it comes to planning your wedding, our guess is that the toughest decision you’ll make won’t be the colors or the menu. It will be the dress. And because we don’t want you shopping blind we’ve gathered together some of Minneapolis’ favorite bridal shops – as well as an idea or two for your bridesmaids and the groom. We wouldn’t want him to feel left out.

For the Bride

The dress. Long, short, simple, detailed – we think wedding dresses are beautiful in all shapes, sizes and shades of white, ivory, and cream. And we think that L’atelier Couture is one of the prettiest shops in town to find one. Opened by creative director and stylist Amanda Kautt, this boutique specializes in a shopping experience that is exciting, stress-free and altogether memorable, and features gowns by the most legendary names in bridal design. Don’t forget to ask about the boutique’s “White Glove Service.” Bridal Accents Couture is another city gem, with its clean, spacious salon and designer gowns in a wide range of prices.

For the Bridesmaid

Several stores in town offer dress collections exclusively intended for bridesmaids. And because we know that their attire is a key ingredient in the masterpiece of your wedding day, too, we think you should consider stopping by. Bella Bridesmaid is part of a national franchise created entirely to meet the need for stylish, wearable bridesmaid dresses. The store emphasizes modern dresses and individualized service. Meanwhile, Flutter is a local boutique that also sells bridal gowns – but wins annual prizes for best bridesmaid dress selection.

For the Man of the Hour

Last, but obviously not least, is the groom. Quality suit and tuxedo rentals can be found throughout the city but for something truly unique, stop by Hammer Made. This locally-founded shop is all about quality men’s clothing – and custom suits at affordable prices.
