Planning a Wedding in Mississippi
He got down on one knee, you said yes, and now that ring is firmly on your finger. We all know what comes next – picking the date and planning a wedding! And because selecting a venue is inevitably going to be at the top of your checklist, we’ve got a few of the best wedding venues in Mississippi just to help you get your planning process off on the right foot.
Located on six acres of private estate in Kilmichael, the Knox House is a Mississippi wedding location dedicated to weddings with Southern flair. Perfect for outdoor wedding celebrations from ceremony to reception, the house itself is 150 years old and surrounded by ancient oak trees and incredibly greenery. An 80-foot long pergola-style walkway leads to directly to the 1,000 square foot porch, which serves as a perfect place to dance the night away. A bar is set up in a beautifully reformed garden shed, and the expansive grounds leave plenty of space to set up a tent for couples who prefer a covered reception.
Magnolia Hall at Florence Gardens
Another venue perfect for a Mississippi wedding embracing Southern tradition, Magnolia Hall at Florence Gardens is a picture perfect wedding location complete with red roof, white columns, and a great lawn. Not just another event space, this property is self-defined as a Southern gem, and can accommodate weddings of up to 325 people.
Providence Hill Farm
Available for more than just weddings (we’re talking sporting clay shoots and horseback rides, too), Providence Hill Farm is a Jackson wedding site with tons of atmosphere. From the beautiful grounds to the venue options, the oak trees to the limestone accents, this farm is an ideal wedding day backdrop. The Stable is far and away our favorite spot for receptions – its high ceilings and wrap-around porches are perfectly complimented by cobblestone flooring and elaborate exposed wood details.
