When Elaine Palladino sent this wedding over, I was so excited that I giggled. To myself. Out loud. I am such a fan of creamy pale neutrals as wedding colors. Christina’s beaded wedding dress is gorgeous and the flowers throughout are amazing.

What did you have in mind for your wedding? Was there a particular theme or mood you were going for?
I wanted something classic, elegant and timeless. I didn’t want to look back at my photos in 20 years and be embarrassed if I chose crazy trendy colors.
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
It was really the best day of my life. We had so much fun the entire time it’s tough to narrow it down to a single moment, but I would have to say it was towards the end of the night when we were dancing and all of our guests rushed us. It was a big, glorious (semi-drunken), awesome hug from everyone we love and care about.
What was your favorite detail?
The flower petals in the fountain. Or the draping – it really complemented the venue beautifully.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Get a planner! It was the best decision I made. Oh, and I know every past bride says this, but DO NOT stress too much and try not to get too anxious. Once you’re about to walk down the aisle, a sense of calm naturally comes over you and you realize how useless it was to worry so much.
Did you incorporate any traditions/significant details into your wedding?
I’m a big proponent of tradition with weddings. Modern practices can be cool, but I really believe in and respect the history of this sacred rite of passage in American culture and wanted to honor it throughout our wedding. I made sure to find ‘Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue.’
Did you DIY any of the details?
I made decisions and picked up a few items on my own, but it was my mom who tied the peach ribbon on all 80 of the cupcake boxes. I owe her a drink or 3 for that!
