Don’t get me wrong, grand weddings are great. Who doesn’t love intricate tablescapes and dressed-to-the-nines wedding guests? But the weddings that I truly adore (even after being a wedding blogger for over 5 years) are tiny, intimate affairs. Whether in restaurants or courthouses or backyards, it’s not hard to see why these unassuming weddings are so charming.
Jennifer and Brian had been planning a wedding when they found out Brian was soon to be transferred to Tokyo. A courthouse ceremony was planned, but the sweet folks over at The Big Fake Wedding had something else in mind. They planned this beautiful backyard wedding as a total surprise to the groom. And from the giant smiles perma-plastered on the couple’s faces, all of their work was clearly appreciated!
