Jim and I met at the gym. He was a client of mine. I worked there as a personal trainer so he basically paid me to torture him! We worked together about 2 years with no romantic involvement and then lost contact for about another year when he stopped training.

Jim and I met at the gym. He was a client of mine. I worked there as a personal trainer so he basically paid me to torture him! We worked together about 2 years with no romantic involvement and then lost contact for about another year when he stopped training. We met up by chance and he asked me out, one thing led to another and now here we are today happily ever after!!
What was the theme or design inspiration for your wedding?
I never really thought out a theme to our wedding but knew that I wanted it to have a classic and elegant style. I thought we achieved that with our color scheme (black and red) and setting (it was a castle complete with moat and my knight in shining armor).
Tell us about the bridal attire:
I purchased my dress from a local wedding store called Central Coast Wedding Center. I chose my dress because I felt when I tried it on it was going to get the reaction of ‘wow’ when Jim saw me for the first time! It was lacy, shiny, sexy and fitted! Favorite design element of your big day:
I really was pleased with the lighting. We had lights strung over head as well as spot lights that shone on the wall. It added that extra something.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding?
Everything ran smoothly! I would say just trusting that my planner and vendors would all show up and do their jobs was the hardest thing because I like to be in control.
What advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
I would suggest a wedding planner if it is in your budget! It is a big load off your shoulders and you are really able to enjoy being a bride on your wedding day and not worry about things getting taken care of.
Best advice someone told you at the wedding?
Stop and take a mental picture every so often. The day goes by so quickly!
Any specific reasons behind certain choices you made for your wedding?
One thing that Jim and I chose to do was having Ave Maria sung during our ceremony and have it dedicated to our mothers. It was so special we were all tearing up during the song.
Tell me something about your photographer, Cameron Ingalls.
Everything!!! Cameron is the best photographer ever! He captured the beauty of the day in every shot! I admire his talent and creativity as well as professionalism.
