Katie & Allan’s Pretty Madison, WI Real Wedding by Twig & Olive Photography
This garden event was blessed with good weather and great friends.
When Allan proposed to Katie, his college sweetheart, on Valentine’s Day, neither one had an exact vision for their wedding day. When it came to choosing their theme and selecting their details, they took inspiration from a variety of sources: local wedding shows, family history and culture, and vintage shops. The result was a sweet event with nods to both the trends they loved and the people they are connected to. While both of them adored how their wedding came together, they admit they were so busy talking with friends and family that they barely had a chance to focus on the finished result. Katie advises,’If you can afford a videographer, get one. They will help you see all the moments you missed.’ If this wedding looks familiar to you, you may have noticed it in our last issue of our magazine, mywedding.
Our Favorite Things:
- The burlap-lined ring box (a terrific detail for a rustic chic wedding)
- The simple boutonnieres with succulents, white rosebuds, and seeded eucalyptus
- The creative menu including comfort food faves and special entrees for the kiddos
